“Stay creative, let your talent speak for you” – Jai Eapen
Jai Eapen is the founder and CEO at BriteCamp. A self-starter who believes in being grounded with the principles while taking those baby steps towards achieving those big goals. An executor aiming to stabilize the industry to take giant leaps to meet the big audacious goals. An individual with high levels of commitment, the one who looks at problems as a challenge rather than a threat. He believes in spending time figuring out the solution rather than spending energies discussing the problem.
BriteCamp: Helping your talents be discovered and the world recognizing the same.
BriteCamp is a tech-enabled talent discovery platform available on Android and iOS that helps to discover the talents of the students outside academics. Using this tool, the student’s talent is discovered by virtue of them building an e-Portfolio which will help them in recording their learnings and achievements. It is a platform that allows organizations and larger institutions to do the demographic talent mapping of the students. This further acts as a big enabler from the policy and decision-making standpoint. The talent being discovered in areas like sports, performing arts, creative arts across levels will help the teachers and parents give the right kind of encouragement at the right age to make sure that the student is able to pursue their respective interests and passion.
A brief discourse of the conversation
The conversation started with the whereabouts and the construction of the idea of Jai Eapen’s company, BriteCamp. It is an online marketplace for students to showcase their arts and crafts by displaying an image of the topic they’ve worked on. It also helps to connect students from across the world, to exchange their ideas and develop various skills in the process. It acts as a platform for the students to sell and showcase their creative work. The main motive behind the company’s existence is to bring out the best of each individual and be the center stage where these talents can be discovered by the world. Skipping in time to 2020, where the world can’t be called normal anymore, the company extended its reach and developed a new segment called “E-portfolio” for children where all the achievements and learnings are recorded in a digital format which can be shared with various stakeholders like teachers, parents, schools, universities to show a broader spectrum of student’s caliber and talent apart from academics.
As the conversation progressed, Jai expresses his thoughts on the ideology behind the right age to register in this program and how this was brought into practice from mere thoughts. He believes that starting at a young age, as early as 2nd or 3rd grade would do this system a great deal of justice. The main aim being, to record the learnings of a student over a period of time and keeping track of it.
This helps in a better understanding of the interests and passions of a student on a trenched scale.
“All the students are talented and gifted in one way or the other”
Understanding those talents and helping them reach greater heights is the force that drives this company.
