We at Truepush are always happy to help websites increase their conversion rates and engagement. Here is an interview with HtmlSave sharing experience on how they reached diverse users, increased conversion, and implemented re-engagement strategies using Truepush.

About HtmlSave:

HtmlSave is a website where we can create very basic HTML websites. This website is really helpful for testing how an HTML file will look in a browser. HtmlSave can also store their small HTML files online for later use. HtmlSave stores all their HTML files in the best server.

What is your website? Can you narrate us the story behind building it? (What is the unique problem you’re trying to solve?)

HtmlSave is a simple site that helps you to store HTML, CSS, JavaScript codes online. We built this platform for absolute beginners, keeping it as simple as possible. Sometimes you just want to test a simple piece of HTML, CSS, or JavaScript codes online. For that, we focused on the PASTE-HOST method, where you can simply paste a piece of Html code and host it online. HtmlSave, in this case, can act as a playground.

What are the various growth or marketing channels you’re trying to get more visitors on the website?

I believe in word-of-mouth, and still, receive the majority of the traffic from blog posts where people share about my website’s use. Also community matters. Reddit was another great source of traffic.

Do you think customer retention is crucial for businesses? How do push notifications help in it?

I believe this really matters, that’s why I introduced a free plan on my website. It can really help you convert users into potential customers. With the help of push notifications, it can help me wake the sleeping users and convert them to customers. Push notifications can also make people stay around your product without much effort from your side. All you need to do is send regular updates and tips to your subscribers.

How do you plan out your push notification strategy? What are the parameters you consider while building it?

I send push notifications every one to three days. Why so? Because people want to get updates from you. That’s why they allow notifications for your website. Sometimes this can create unsubs, I have seen people will stay with you, as long as your product is helpful for them. Before I send a push notification, I make sure whether it is a helpful knowledge or tip for the user. I don’t always send my visitors to my website. Sometimes I send them to a different website, where I believe, the information will be useful for my subscribers.

What is the most used push notification feature, and how it helped you in getting more conversion rates?

Segmentation is a great feature, I use this feature to send notifications to new users (I use segmentation property as subscription date just about 3 days old). It can be a good start to promote any product to your subscribers easily.

How long have you been using Truepush, and how is it helping you achieve your business goals?

I have started using Truepush a month ago since then I have sent potential notifications to my subscribers. And the views I received through Truepush for my notifications were incredible. I think, reaching to my subscribers through Truepush was a great move I made.

Any feedback for the product and the Truepush team?

I think Truepush can become more than just sending temporary notifications. It can also act as a product updates web tool, similar to www.getbeamer.com. Truepush has the potential to become more than push notification service.

Truepush Analysis

Using Truepush, HtmlSave realised that they have improved their traffic. By using the segmentation feature, HtmlSave ensures its subscribers receive only information relevant to them, and thus not cluttering their time. This has reduced the unsubscribe rate while increasing the retention rate.
